The Signal Box Details

The Signal Box sleeps up to 4 in two bedrooms. 

The comfortable, light and airy open-plan living space is on the first floor and the bedrooms on the ground floor. 

It is decorated and equipped to a high standard and provides modern, comfortable accommodation and benefits from being surrounded by the character and history of the disused GWR branch line and station building (the owners’ home).

Ground Floor (Bedrooms)

Entrance hall leading to 'coat and boot' area. Lovely modern family shower room with large shower.  Drying rack/airer.  Window towards riverside.

Bedroom 1 (sleeps 2).  This is a well-proportioned room with a king-sized bed, single wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables.  Separate door to garden area, window to riverside.

Bedroom 2 (sleeps 1+1). A smaller room with a comfortable, full-size single bed.  As an alternative, this room can be used as a twin-bedded room (when used as a twin, this room feels somewhat akin to a railway sleeper carriage).  Beds are a 3' single with a pull-out (2'6") second bed.   Bedside table, coat hooks/luggage rack and under-bed storage.  Opaque glazed door leading onto hallway with window directly opposite.

First Floor (Living area)

Spiral staircase rising to spacious open-plan kitchen/lounge/diner making the most of the relaxing woodland and river views.  Modern kitchen with fully-fitted appliances (oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher).  Wood burning stove.  Freesat television and BluRay/DVD/CD player.

External stairs also lead to the first floor.

Outside

Private garden area surrounding The Signal Box with a variety of tables, chairs and bench seating.  Outside tap.  BBQ facilities available.

Access to riverside, woodlands and meadow - approx. 4 acres surrounding the former Station buildings and goods yard with numerous private footpaths.  Further direct access to a popular level footpath tracing the former route of the 'Primrose Line'.

Private fishing on-site.

Secure storage, by arrangement, for bicycles, canoes, surfing & sailing equipment etc.

Off-road parking for 1 - 2 vehicles (note there is no provision for charging EVs at the accommodation).
